LEGISLATION ADOPTED AT 219TH ANNUAL COMMUNICATION
Section 3-69: 4. There shall be five Trustees of the Grand Lodge, who shall be elected to serve for three years at an annual communication. No Trustee of Grand Lodge who shall have served for six or more years, consecutively, shall be eligible for election to serve again as a Trustee of Grand Lodge until at least three years shall have elapsed since the date on which he last served as a member. The period between two annual communications shall be considered as a full year, regardless of the exact dates on which such meetings are held. (Essentially changes term of G.L. Trustee from five years to three years with a six year limit.)
Section 13-06: The Most Worshipful Grand Master shall retain the authority, however, to suspend or expel at his discretion, any brother who is convicted in a criminal court of any crime of the first, second, third, or fourth degree as defined in the criminal code of the State of New Jersey, or of an indictable offense, particularly involving moral turpitude, in the federal or state courts of the jurisdictions outside of New Jersey, which offenses shall be analogized as closely as possible to their counterparts in New Jersey, without the necessity of the filing of Masonic charges, or an additional Masonic trial or penalty hearing, so long as that brother was afforded an opportunity to defend those charges in the forum of conviction, or entered a plea of guilty in the forum of conviction.
